To start my first blog I wanted to share the beings that keep me going and motivated each day. They are my inspiration, my every day meaning for getting up everyday and doing something. My beautiful and amazing pets.
My oldest and first child and yes I call them my four-legged children is my oldest cat Ren.
Ren aka Ren Ren aka Rengar is my almost 7.5 year old cat. Born in June 2018. He just like my other two came from the shelter. His story is a special one to me.
One morning in August 2018, my partner came home after a night out at a friends place and woke me up asking me if I wanted to go get a kitten. I immediately woke up and said yes. With excitement I got dressed and ready and we headed over to our local animal shelter. We went over to the kittens and Ren was the youngest one and smallest one there. He was curled up in the corner. I picked him up and placed him on my lap. He curled up and fell asleep while I was sitting there in the kitten room. I knew he was the one. We paid for his adoption fee and I sat in the backseat of the car with him as we headed over to Petsmart to pick up a few things we needed like litter box, litter, food/ water bowl, mat and of course lots of toys. He is the sweetest loving cat for being yes very ginger. He is the oldest of my pack but he definitely has the most energy out of all them. Little did I know at that time he was going to be the first one to start this journey.
My next one is Happy- My "middle child". Also my special child. We got Happy a year after Ren. Born in May 2019, I got him as a birthday gift. I remember for weeks wanting him. Happy came to the shelter as a semi- feral kitten with his mom and sister. They all had an issue with one of their eyes making them half- blind. So after we got Happy and we got him to the vet they determined that the most he could see out his left eye is shadows. This makes him kind of clutzy and just silly when he tries to jump from cat tree to the next. Happy has warmed up to become a very loving sweet boy. Definitely the most quiet one too.
My last and youngest is Carla aka Carla- Bean. And she is definitely a bean. She is the definition of clingy cat. Everywhere I go, she goes. She is the lap cat. Carla was born in April 2021. Initially was looking into adopting her brother but he was already spoken for and I wouldn't change it for a thing. Of course being a female she is very sassy, but super loving and affectionate.
Then there is my dog. My beautiful German Shepherd/ Labrador Lucy. Lucy was born April 2, 2021. Found her through a private breeder when Lucy's mom was still pregnant with the puppies. Lucy's birthdate is especially special as it's also the anniversary date of my moms passing. German shepherds are definitely my favourite breed. I lived next door to a German shepherd and my aunt had a beautiful German shepherd too. Always a wonderful experience with them. Lucy is very spunky, obsessed with any plushy toy and loves her treats and walks. She definitely keeps me motivated.
If anyone is an anime fan, Happy, Carla and Lucy are names of characters from my favourite anime Fairy Tale. Ren's name came from League of Legends from a character named Rengar.
These four lives are the reason why I keep going and pushing. They are my inspiration. <3
